Dr. med. Björn Mück, FEBS-AWS (hon.), has been Chief of General and Visceral Surgery at Klinikum Immenstadt (Klinikverbund Allgäu) since 2026. Prior to this, he served as Senior Consultant at Klinikum Kempten. Since 2015, he has led the Hernia Center Allgäu, a DGAV-certified reference center for hernia surgery. Dr. Mück is an experienced robotic abdominal wall surgeon with a special interest in extraperitoneal access techniques. He has been a certified da Vinci console surgeon since 2019. Since 2021, he has also been actively engaged as a proctor for robotic hernia surgery, supporting the training of surgeons across Europe in advanced minimally invasive techniques. He serves as a board member of the German Hernia Society and is a faculty member and trainer in advanced minimally invasive and robotic EHS courses. He is internationally recognized for his expertise in abdominal wall surgery.
