Dr. Victor G. Radu, MD, PhD, (Hon)AWS-FEBS, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila”, Bucharest, with extensive experience in academic teaching and postgraduate surgical education. He is a senior general surgeon with a recognized specialization in minimally invasive and robotic abdominal wall surgery.
His academic interests focus on the structured teaching of abdominal wall reconstruction, laparoscopic and robotic techniques, and evidence-based surgical decision-making. Dr. Radu is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, hands-on training courses, and live surgery teaching formats. He has contributed to the education and training of over 300 surgeons through national and international educational programs.
He serves as President of the Hernia Training Center in Bucharest and is a frequent invited faculty member at European and international surgical congresses and teaching courses. His academic activity is supported by peer-reviewed publications and book chapters with international publishers, reflecting a strong commitment to academic standards, knowledge dissemination, and surgical education.
Dr. Radu is interested in developing international academic collaborations in teaching, curriculum development, and exchange programs in the field of minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
