Prof. Frederik Berrevoet,  MD, PhD, FEBS-HPB/AWR-HON, FACS, obtained his medical degree at Ghent University after which he received his surgical training at the University Hospital in Ghent, University Hospital Saarland, Homburg, Germany and Albert Schweitzer Hospital in the Netherlands. He started as a fellow at the Department of General & HPB and Transplantation Surgery at the University Hospital Ghent in 2004 after which he became a consultant in the Department for General and HPB Surgery and Liver Transplantation and Procurement since 2006.
